A “ non-sequitur “ – (for those of you raddled with insecurity at the mention of such a word ) – is a statement which appears to bear no relationship to the topic under discussion.

Here’s the sort of non-sequitur one might find in everyday life:

You: “ I really need a raise , boss !”

Boss: “ I’m thinking of going to Bermuda for my vacation this year.”

Here are todays non-sequitur stories. Should you find any relationship in them ….please keep it to yourself !

So Sorry ! Japan apologized yesterday for having started WWII , having invaded all those countries, and having killed off potential customers for Japanese made goods.

Flat Screen TV: Prices are coming down – as much as 35 % - but you probably won’t be able to afford one anyway.

Lance Armstrong has announced he doesn’t want to run for governor of Texas – or bike for him, for that matter.

Fuel Prices are higher, but a California man says his modified Prius gets up to 250 mpg….on those steep downhill runs.

Cindy Sheehan is still in the news – but media attention seems to be shifting away from her , as others compete for the spotlight :;_ylt=AkH8lCK10lCYWbwYrSrt080DW7oF;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl

My Wife says it’s time to stop this nonsense so we can go shopping.
